Change the way you see this life

I begin with the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

‎The (only) thing that remains in your life and even after your death is your righteous deeds.

‎The world is nothing but delusional enjoyment. Anyone that has an insight on how temporary this life is, will appreciate this submission.

For those that have eyes with which they see deep into the deceptive layers of this worldly life, nothing of this world that is not connected to the Hereafter draws their attention.

World history is a nightmare that many have not yet woken up from. They repeat the mistakes of the past.

Nothing is worth achieving if it adds no value to our drive to attain success in the Hereafter. You start wondering and asking of what benefit was it to those that spent their lives building worldly empires when they and everything they fought for have been buried in the graveyard of history and long forgotten?

When you realize how everything we fight for of this world is a fleeting memory that will be of no value when the world ceases to exist, you will become less ambitious materially and more ambitious spiritually.

The only thing worth fighting for is the Hereafter because making it there is the real success. We’ve seen how the scrolls of history were rolled over powerful individuals that were mainly concerned about this world.

It is clear enough for anyone who understands the reality of this life to appreciate why the Companions of the Prophet SAW were successful. They were smart enough to acknowledge that this world is transient. Hence, they had their gaze fixed on the Hereafter.

It is painfully laughable when people become overtly arrogant for attaining worldly status and more pathetic is when people spend their days and nights scheming not for their Hereafter but for the exclusive things of this world that many before them have gotten but left behind.

When we strive for the things of this world in order to secure a favorable decision for ourselves in the Hereafter, then that is smartness because the demise of the world will not mean an end to our labor rather, it will usher us into the realm of everlasting happiness.

Look at the history of your family, look at the history of your community, look at the history of your nation and then the history of the world, you will find enough lessons that will humble you and enable you to rearrange your thought pattern regarding how you view this world.

Nothing of this world lasts forever, just be modest in everything. In your dressing, in your attitude, in your interactions with people, in your worldly goals. Be humble and stress not yourself over things that will be of no value to you when you are buried beneath the sod.

When the reality of this world becomes apparent to you, then bragging, oppressing, inordinate love for money and immorality will be significantly tamed in you. There is just one life to live once we are gone that’s all, it doesn’t matter how long or how great we were.

We all have that equal opportunity for creating a balance between our material quest and spiritual attainment. Keep your eyes on the ball. Remember, the goal is to enter Jannah (Paradise). Do not mortgage your hereafter for a miserable price of this world.
